Research Focus

Dr. Bott has an extensive background in research and has been a research assistant professor since 2001. Her research over the past 15 years includes: Nurse managers, nurse retention, patient outcomes; Behaviors and cognitions for resisting the urge to smoke; Nursing Database for Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) and currently is a co-PI with Dr. Roma Lee Taunton on their NINR-funded study, Care planning integrity and nursing home resident outcomes; and she consults with other faculty who are studying other aspects of nursing home care as well as the aging population.
